Care Instructions
CARING FOR YOUR LIVING MICROGREENS IS AS EASY AS 1-2-3
Your microgreens are alive and growing on a natural coco pad (the brown material on the bottom) and require minimal care
- once a day, soak the coco pad (not the microgreens) in water for 5 mins*
- drain the excess water from the pad
- store your microgreens in your refrigerator produce drawer
When you are ready to eat them, harvest your fresh microgreens by cutting them with a sharp scissor or knife near the base of the stem and enjoy!
*The best way to soak the pad is to add some water to a tray or plate and set the pad down on it. Make sure you only soak the bottom of the pad – keep the microgreens dry.
MOLD VS ROOT HAIRS
There is a difference between mold and root hairs with living microgreens. Check out the photos below. The picture on the left is mold. Mold has a characteristic, spider web like appearance. The picture on the right is root hairs. Root hairs are perfectly normal for many living microgreens. Root hairs are the plant seeking moisture and nutrients.
